This is one of my original altered art shadow box "curiosity" necklaces, 1" by 3". I entirely handmake my boxes from scratch, constructing the boxes from light weight wood, sanding, hand painting and antiquing each one, and then adourning each one with a special object or curiosity. Then to finish each piece, I hand solder a piece of glass to protect your wearable treasure and mount it onto a special vintage repurposed chain or repurposed rosary. Yes, alot of work goes into these hand crafted pieces and you will be the only one wearing the exact one you purchase!
My inspiration for this piece was an expired butterfly. Rather than throwing the delicate wings away, I saved them and mounted them into this piece with vintage rhinestones. These beautifully artful butterfly wings will bring you a sense of freedom, luck happiness and prosperity as the Irish Blessing above indicates. It is a wearable reliquary, shadow box, piece of natural history and taxidermy all in one! It's delicate, beautiful and truly one of a kind!
This piece is 1" by 3" approximately. The box has been painted a black and has been sealed. The butterfly wings are a beautiful golden color with dark accents. The repurposed rosary chain this hangs on is made from white and gold beads and measures 20" long including the gold toned clasp. The piece is sturdy enough to wear for every day wear, but it is enclosed in glass, so one should be careful with this nice piece of art.

This print is entitled "Death Upon Her Lips" It is from an altered photograph of lips. The colors are rich and vibrant with a dark aspect to this print. It almost looks as though death has in fact visited the lips. It will be a great addition to your art and would look wonderful hung in any gothic, victorian, vintage or macabre setting. This print was created by me from original photographs I have taken, altered, and applied layers upon layers of filters, textures and other effects to. I have limited these editions to only 10 of each print. Each one comes hand signed, numbered and framed in a simple black wooden or composite frame ready to be hung on your wall! My work is dark, urban, and has a distinct vintage, yet macabre feel.
“giclée,” as a fine art term, has come to be associated with prints using fade-resistant, archival inks (pigment based, as well as newer solvent based inks), and archival substrates primarily produced on Epson and some other types of large format printers.This increases the apparent resolution and color gamut and allows smoother gradient transitions. This has been printed on archival watercolor paper and framed in an 12" by 12" black wooden frame behind glass.

Unisex Lucky "13" Talisman Pendant

This altered piece of jewelry made with vintage and repurposed bits from my travels has been constructed and made to be one of a kind. A true Artisan piece, its inspiration is an ode to my love for the hotrod and kustom culture. Its entitled "Lucky 13 Talisman" Bringing you luck on your adventures, its a well-made piece, heavy, burly necklace and is not for the faint of heart!
The focal for this piece is the repurposed formica copper piece which I have soldered with a nice copper and antiqued frame. Mounted onto the 2.5" by 1.75" antiqued piece is a hand antiqued 1.5" ornate lucky 13 skull which has also been painted. Beneath the skull are two small hand hammered repurposed copper pieces which have been inset with vintage photographs and resin and then two lucky-cat taxidermy molar teeth have been inserted into the frames. The chain hangs on a burly large, black linked chain. The chain is heavy and is copper with black powder coating on top. It is 22" long including the heavy duty clasp.
This piece is pretty amazing! I am almost tempted to keep it for myself (: It would be equally as striking on a guy as a gal, and would be great for any kustom-culture junky, but also definitely has a hardcore punk appeal with a macabre gothic edge to it! It is one of a kind and you will be sure to receive many compliments from this hand crafted one of a kind piece.
Please note that I hand make each piece and it is one of a kind. I use altered bits and pieces and found objects in my items that I find on my adventures. I also upcycle and repurpose pieces found from thriftstores, antique stores and markets.
The "Patroness Guadalupe" Necklace

The Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas and Protector of the unborn, is December 12. The novena is usually prayed from December 4 to December 12. This necklace is an altered piece of art I made in hommage to Patroness Guadalupe who is adored throughout the world!
I used an upcycled metal etched sheet of formica and a vintage prayer card with the Virgin and Child on it. The edges have been burnt and antiqued and the piece has been crackled and sealed onto the metal. Around the metal I hand soldered a frame for added decoration. In the center of the Virgin I have placed one Swarovski crystal which shines as a beacon to this wonderful Patroness. The piece is hung with two heavy rings and has been placed on a beautiful and heavy double link silver chain with a round hook clasp. The chain measures almost 22" long. Hanging from the beautiful Guadalupe pendant is a wonderful antique cross which I found during my travels in Canada. I have repurposed it onto this piece. The cross hs filagree silver with a large pearl in the center. There are four nail hammered and soldered into the piece at each of the four points of the cross.
The guadalupe piece measures 2 1/3" by 1 3/4" and the beautiful antique silver cross is 1.5" tall and 1 3/4" at the widest point.

The Emperor is a RAT

A Macabre Taxidermy Piece featuring a real taxidermy Rat Skull, Skeleton tail and pieces of the vertebra to create my interpretation of the "Emperor" Tarot card. Underneath simply reads "Rat" in hand bent wire. The background has layers of paint and patina to create a Victorian aura to the original piece. It has been framed in a repurposed brass antique Baroque Victorian Frame and a vintage piece of ribbon dangling freely! It will look lovely hanging in your favorite macabre location in your abode!
Victorian Circus $40
The Victorian Circus, a wonderul tribute to the bygone past. The focal for this piece is an upcycled piece of stainless steel with red finished front that I have turned into a frame. I have then used lead free solder and antiqued the frame and added a vintage photo of a Victorian Circus performer. I have sealed the photo and added more patina and then added two small brass findings with Swarovski crystals centered on each finding. As an added whimsical curiosity, I have added a rusted and antiqued upcycled measuring spoon with a nice green glass lampwork bead bead and overdyed amber strangs of satin ribon running through them! So unique!
This gorgeous piece is hung on a totally reworked upcycled rosary chain made very pretty red beads. The chain is sturdily connected with very pretty matching red jump rings that are annodized. Attention to detail was not spared on this piece (or any of my pieces); it is totally one of a kind!
The pendant measures 2 1/4" by 1 3/4". The upcycled measuring spoon charm is 3.75" long and the chain is 19" long.

The Faxenmacher

The focal of this beautiful whimsical piece is silver stamped frame which measures 1.5" by 1.5" with a vintage clown photo, which has been hand crackled and antiqued. The clown was taken from a 1940's magazine and he is quite creepy looking with the hand patina that has been added. Distressed and antiqued looking, the photo shows washed out tones of red, white and browns. Hanging from the clown is a repurposed vintage silver stamped whistle with beautiful flowers imprinted on it. The whistle is 1.5" long by 1/2" wide and it works! Also hanging from the frame are beautiful glass rosary beads which hang in rows around the whistle. The piece is mounted onto a very nice upcycled silver snake chain that is 17" long.
If you like antique circus themed items, you will love this! Its very Victorianesque with a unique twist! It is one of a kind and you can wear it proudly knowing you are adorning an original piece made with found bits and upcycled parts.
