Greetings and salutations! I have just completed a new Spring line of jewelry entitled "Cirque D'Antika" This new line showcases upcycled, recycled & repurposed bits. I also use vintage items and antiques melded together exquisitely to create antique Circus or Sideshow pieces. All of my pieces are unique and one of a kind. Exciting news is that one of these pieces will be featured in Cosmopolitan German in April! I am so honored and excited. Please peruse my shop and also my Etsy store for some of these unique pieces. Curiosity(def.) Curiosity is an emotion related to natural inquisitive behaviour such as exploration, investigation, and learning, evident by observation in human and many animal species. The term can also be used to denote the behavior itself being caused by the emotion of curiosity. As this emotion represents a drive to know new things, curiosity is the fuel of science and all other disciplines of human study. My artwork and crafts strive to depict human curiosity in all forms! I hope you enjoy my site and my items.
A Curio is an unusual object of art or piece of bric brac. My fascination & passion for all things old and odd influence my life as well as my work.
Many of my creations are made from curios or objects that have been discarded; antiques that I display oddly in a hand made shadow box or a feathered clip showcasing Victorian adornments to remind ourselves of history past. I often times make Memento Mori to remind us of our own mortality. Or I may use discarded taxidermy pieces, to remind us how beautiful everything can be, living and dead, new and old.
I search flea markets, antique stores and other nooks & crannies looking for old things, odd things and things that have been discarded. My taxidermy pieces come from either a reputable taxidermy artist/dealer, or are found objects that have been discarded or found in antique stores.

Exhibitions of live human curiosities had appeared in travelling fairs, circuses and taverns in England since the 1600s. These included so-called giants, dwarves, fat people, the very thin, conjoined twins and even people from exotic climes. Freak shows were a particularly popular form of entertainment during the Victorian period, when people from all classes flocked to gawp at these unusual examples of human life.
