Past Curiosities and Oddities to Peruse for your Enjoyment!
For your viewing pleasure, here is a sampling of some of my previous creations which have found new homes.
"Oh Poor Mr. Mousie" was a shadow box I constructed. I first obtained a taxidermy mouse. I then built upon a gutted shadow box I found at a thrift store. I added many details including vintage Victorian wallpaper, antiqued dollhouse furniture which I painted and even a hanging chandelier and candleabre! Note that Mr. Mousie has a rather bloody mess on his hands, in that he has cut (or was it the Butler?) a little girls' head off and there is blood all over the scene of the crime. This piece is sold but it was a fun (and time consuming) piece to create and alter.

A real squirrel paw reliquary in this wonderfully lined antique baroque box! Hanging on a double brass chain.
My love for taxidermy and keeping the memory of these sort of things "alive" was again my inspiration. This was a hand made shadow box with pretty pink feathers cushioning a real squirrel heart. Mounted onto a pearl rosary chain, this endearing piece found a new home.

Flights of Fancy Altered Shadow Box Assemblage
A small upcycled wood distressed shadow box with wooden bird focal. Decoupage background with a hint of glitter and vintage tickets. Adorned with mirror tile, and feathers ofcourse! One of a kind and signed.

A great assemblage I made for some friends that was from an repurposed old mirror. I collaged the frame with religious photos, sealed it and then added a small mammal skull on top. I adorned the piece with mexican wooden flower and "skullerflies" for a great Dia De Los Meurtos feel.
